DRIVER SAFETY TRAINING CERTIFICATE
This program is designed to give the participants working knowledge of their vehicles so as to keep them safe on the road. This certificate program will include a practical portion with an assessment of the participants driving skills and habits to be able to give a one on one evaluation and feedback. This certificate program is a total of 44 hours.
VEHICLE AND DRIVER SAFETY TRAINING
The course provides the participants with a broad knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance for the correct functioning of a motor vehicle. All drivers should know the basics of car maintenance. This would include, maintaining tire pressure, engine oil, checking brakes and much more. Such knowledge can save you money and help to make your vehicle a safer. Learn how to perform vehicle inspections and how to do trip planning effectively. This portion of the training will include one on one practical driving skills and assessment. Learn the five fundamentals of defensive driving. Anticipate hazards and predict traffic movements for planning responses in advance. How to make good decisions to minimize risk involved with driving; and to reduce risk when involved in a critical situation. Learn how to develop superior steering, braking and accelerator control while maintain vehicle balance and stability.
BASIC VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
This course provides the participants with a broad knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance for the correct functioning of a motor vehicle. All drivers should know the basics of car maintenance. Such knowledge can save you money and help to make your vehicle a safer. A few simple steps, some regular checks, and addressing issues promptly can greatly extend the life of your vehicle, making it safer and more dependable for you and your family.
ROAD HAZARD AWARENESS
This course teaches the participant about the various hazards associated with driving. Learn the importance of being aware of your surroundings in and out of vehicle.
OFA 1
This one-day certification course meets first aid requirements for Work Safe BC OFA Level 1. Upon successful completion, candidates will be issued a Work Safe BC Occupational First Aid certificate. Participants will learn emergency scene management, minor wound care, CPR and AED training. This course is for British Columbia only all other provinces it is the 2-day Standard First Aid
