COUNTERBALANCED FORKLIFT

This course is designed to train participants in the safe operation of a forklift according to all pertinent the standards of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and relevant provincial occupational health and safety regulations.  The purpose of this training is to help you become a qualified powered industrial truck (lift truck) operator – an operator who has the knowledge and skills to operate a lift truck in a safe and professional manner.  It includes one-half day of classroom instruction followed by practical experience and assessment of the capabilities of the operator in the safe and proper operation of the equipment.

 Duration – 8 hours
Number of Participants – Maximum 12
Certifying Body – Ives Training/ Domcor Health, Safety & Security Inc.
Certificate Expiry – 2 years
PPE – CSA approved steel toe safety boots
Prerequisites – Must be 18 years of age

NARROW AISLE FORKLIFT

This course is designed to train participants in the safe operation of a Narrow Aisle forklift according to all pertinent the standards of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and relevant provincial occupational health and safety regulations.  The purpose of this training is to help you become a qualified narrow aisle forklift operator – an operator who has the knowledge and skills to operate a narrow aisle forklift in a safe and professional manner.  It includes one-half day of classroom instruction followed by practical experience and assessment of the capabilities of the operator in the safe and proper operation of the equipment.

 Duration – 8 hours
Number of Participants – Maximum 12
Certifying Body – Ives Training/ Domcor Health, Safety & Security Inc.
Certificate Expiry – 2 years

POWERED PALLET TRUCK FORKLIFT

This course is designed to train participants in the safe operation of a Powered Pallet Truck according to all pertinent the standards of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and relevant provincial occupational health and safety regulations.  The purpose of this training is to help you become a qualified powered pallet truck operator – an operator who has the knowledge and skills to operate a narrow aisle forklift in a safe and professional manner.  It includes one-half day of classroom instruction followed by practical experience and assessment of the capabilities of the operator in the safe and proper operation of the equipment.

AERIAL WORK PLATFORMS

This one-day course is designed for individuals who plan and supervise work at heights, or perform work at heights themselves. This course contains theoretical and practical components.

Course Content:

  • Legislative standards
  • Aerial work platform hazards and controls
  • Load limitations and calculations
  • Machine specific features
  • Personal protective equipment as it applies to aerial work platforms
  • Factors affecting stability
  • Aerial work platform types (operating & technical differences)
  • Aerial work platform system components
  • Inspection and maintenance of aerial work platforms and relevant components

Duration – 8 hours
Number of Participants – Maximum 12
Certifying Body – Ives Training/ Domcor Health, Safety & Security Inc.
Certificate Expiry – 2 years

  • Load limitations and calculations
  • Machine specific features
  • Personal protective equipment as it applies to aerial work platforms
  • Factors affecting stability
  • Rough terrain types (operating & technical differences)
  • Rough terrain forklift system components
  • Inspection and maintenance of aerial work platforms and relevant components

Duration – 8 hours

Certificate Expiry – 2 years
PPE – CSA approved steel toe safety boots, high Vis vest and eye protection
Prerequisites –Must be 18 years of age

SKID STEER

 This course is designed to train participants in the safe operation of a skid steer according to all pertinent standards of the Canadian Standards Association and relevant provincial occupational health and safety regulations.

The purpose of this training is to help you become a qualifiedskid steer operator; an operator who has the knowledge and skill to operate a skid steer in a safe and professional manner. It includes one half day of classroom instruction followed by practical experience and an assessment of the capabilities of the operator in the safe and proper operation of the skid steer equipment.

Duration – 8 hours
Number of participants – Maximum 12
Certifying Body – Domcor Health, Safety & Security Inc.
PPE – CSA approved steel toed boots
Pre-requisites – Must be 18 years or older
